Using ROA as a metric, this study aims to examine the impact of interest and non-interest income diversification on the profitability of commercial banks in Indonesia from 2008 to 2018. A total of 407 observations from 38 different commercial banks were included in this quantitative study, which used panel data regression techniques. After testing the figures using the Chow, Hausman, and Breusch-Pagan LM tests, it was clear that REM was the most appropriate for the estimation. The combination of interest and non-interest income had a substantial impact on ROA, according to the findings of the simultaneous test. Bank profitability was positively and significantly affected by interest income, while non-interest income did not significantly affect ROA.
