Perancangan Aplikasi E-Canteen Berbasis Android Dengan Sistem Push Notification Menggunakan Algoritma Fcfs Untuk Efisiensi Pelayanan (Studi Kasus : PT. Indomarco Prismatama)

Abstract

The conventional canteen service system at PT Indomarco Prismatama Distribution Center Parung (G107) faces issues with long queues, resulting in an average waiting time of 15 minutes, which impacts the productivity of 600 employees. This study aims to develop the E-Canteen G107 Android-based application using the Prototyping method to improve service efficiency through the implementation of the First-Come First-Served (FCFS) algorithm and a push notification system. The application is developed using Kotlin with the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture and Google Firebase as the backend. The FCFS algorithm is implemented via Firestore queries with orderBy timestamp ascending to ensure a fair and transparent service order. The real-time notification system, powered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), enables two-way communication between customers and vendors. Black Box Testing shows that all system functionalities are 100% valid. The User Acceptance Test results from 13 employee respondents yield a satisfaction rate of 92.6%, with a queue time reduction indicator reaching 95.38%. The study proves that the digitalization of the canteen system through the E-Canteen G107 application successfully resolves queue problems, accelerates the ordering process, and significantly improves user satisfaction. This application has the potential to be expanded to 40 other Indomaret Distribution Center branches across Indonesia.

Sistem pelayanan kantin konvensional di PT Indomarco Prismatama Distribution Center Parung (G107) menghadapi permasalahan antrian panjang dengan waktu tunggu rata-rata 15 menit yang berdampak pada produktivitas 600 karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan aplikasi E-Canteen G107 berbasis Android menggunakan metode Prototyping untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan melalui implementasi algoritma First-Come First-Served (FCFS) dan sistem push notification. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan Kotlin dengan arsitektur Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) dan Google Firebase sebagai backend. Algoritma FCFS diimplementasikan melalui query Firestore dengan orderBy timestamp ascending untuk memastikan urutan layanan yang adil dan transparan. Sistem notifikasi real-time menggunakan Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) memungkinkan komunikasi dua arah antara pelanggan dan penjual. Pengujian Black Box Testing menunjukkan seluruh fungsionalitas sistem valid 100%. Hasil User Acceptance Test dari 13 responden karyawan menghasilkan tingkat kepuasan 92,6%, dengan indikator pengurangan waktu antrian mencapai 95,38%. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa digitalisasi sistem kantin melalui aplikasi E-Canteen G107 berhasil mengatasi masalah antrian, mempercepat proses pemesanan, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna secara signifikan. Aplikasi ini berpotensi dikembangkan untuk 40 cabang Distribution Center Indomaret lainnya di Indonesia.
