Abstract

Klozapin adalah antipsikotik atipikal yang sering digunakan untuk pasien skizofrenia yang tidak merespons terapi lain. Namun, penggunaannya bisa menyebabkan efek samping pada kadar leukosit, trombosit, dan gula darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh klozapin terhadap ketiga parameter tersebut pada pasien skizofrenia di RSJ Sambang Lihum selama tahun 2024. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data retrospektif menggunakan survei deskriptif dan metode total sampling Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi tentang dampak klozapin dan membantu tenaga kesehatan dalam memantau serta mengelola efek samping pada pasien yang menerima terapi ini.

Abstract

Clozapine is an atypical antipsychotic commonly used for schizophrenia patients who do not respond to other treatments. However, its use can cause side effects on leukocyte, platelet, and blood glucose levels. This study aims to analyze the effects of clozapine on these parameters in schizophrenia patients at RSJ Sambang Lihum during 2024. The study is descriptive, using retrospective data collection with a descriptive survey method and purposive sampling in a cross-sectional approach. It is hoped that this research will provide information on the impact of clozapine and help healthcare professionals monitor and manage side effects in patients receiving this therapy.
