Abstract

Abstract

Green logistics has become increasingly important in Supply Chain Management because companies face pressure to reduce emissions, waste, and energy consumption without weakening operational performance. This review summarizes recent research on green logistics, identifies dominant themes, benefits, challenges, and research gaps. The findings show that key practices include green transportation, route optimization, energy-efficient warehousing, environmentally friendly packaging, reverse logistics, and digital technology support. The literature also indicates that green logistics can improve long-term cost efficiency, corporate reputation, and supply chain resilience. However, implementation is still affected by high initial costs, technological readiness, and uneven managerial commitment. This paper concludes that green logistics is an SCM strategy that integrates operational efficiency, sustainability, and competitive advantage.
