This study examines the role of the Indonesian Women’s Coalition (KPI) as a local partner of Rutgers International in the implementation of the Generation Gender (Generation G) Program in the city of Bandung. The primary objective of this study is to analyze KPI’s role and contributions in implementing this global agenda to prevent Gender-Based and Sexual Violence (GBSV) at the local level. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and literature reviews, then analyzed using K.J. Holsti’s Role Theory, adapted for non-state actors. The results show that KPI actively translates and adapts the international agenda to make it relevant to the conditions of Bandung’s community. KPI’s role performance is manifested through the optimization of the Women’s Center (BP PIPA KBGS), educational campaigns, and network advocacy. Despite facing patriarchal, structural, and technical challenges, KPI was able to respond by developing an advocacy roadmap and strengthening collaboration. In conclusion, the presence of grassroots civil society organizations is crucial in bridging international program frameworks with the real needs and social context of local communities.
